ITU Racing was established in 2007 to participate in international Formula Student competitions. The formula team within ITU Racing participates in Formula Student competitions held in various parts of the world with vehicles that are designed by the team itself every year. The team consists of students from different engineering disciplines.
We aim to represent our country and our university in the best way by being among the respected teams known for their innovation, competitiveness, and abilities among Formula Student teams in the world.
We are creating a sustainable team environment where candidate engineers who are interested in the ever-changing automotive technologies can make progress by demonstrating their skills.
An engineering competition initiated by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in 1981, organized in more than 20 countries on 4 continents and attended by experienced teams from the most prestigious universities in the world. The aim of the competition is to train qualified staff for the automotive industry and to try out newly emerging technologies. In each competition, teams are competing in the combustion, electric, and autonomous categories.
The unique business idea developed through the vehicle is presented to competent engineers with a business plan presentation at the event.
It is an event where all the costs incurred by the developed vehicle throughout the process are included in the reports presented.
An event where the analysis and designs of each part of the vehicle are presented.
This phase involves checking the compliance with regulations, durability, and safety of the vehicle in terms of electrical, electronic, and mechanical aspects.
These are tests conducted at a 60° incline to assess the durability of vehicle components, the resilience of electronic parts in rainy conditions, and the safety of brakes and vehicle pilots.
These are competitive events that take place on the track. Teams compete in the Acceleration, Skid Pad, Autocross, and Endurance stages.
